RentEyes is a brand operated by Pao Pao International LLC ("Pao Pao", "we", "us"), which provides local home-finding and apartment-viewing support services.

For personal data processed in connection with our services, Pao Pao acts as the data controller unless otherwise stated.

Depending on the service you request, we may process:

• WhatsApp number;

• communication history.

Housing requirements

• desired city;
• preferred neighborhoods;
• move-in date;
• budget;
• property type;
• number of bedrooms;
• minimum property size;
• furnished/unfurnished preference;

• parking requirements;
• pet information; and
• other housing preferences.

Background and application information

Where voluntarily provided and necessary for the service, this may include:

• other information required for a housing application.

We only request information that is reasonably necessary for the relevant service.

• communicate with landlords, agents or property managers where necessary and authorized;
• assist with applications;
• arrange viewings;

• prevent fraud and misuse;
• comply with legal obligations; and
• enforce our contractual rights.

Depending on the circumstances, processing may be based on:

• performance of a contract;
• taking steps at your request before entering into a contract;

• our legitimate interests; or
• your consent where consent is legally required.

Where consent is used, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

In order to provide the service, we may provide relevant customer information to the independent Hunter assigned to your request.

The information shared will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the Hunter to perform the service.

Hunters are contractually required to handle customer information appropriately and confidentially.

Where necessary for the service, we may communicate relevant information to:

• landlords;
• property agents;
• property managers;
• viewing organizers;
• payment processors;
• communication providers;
• hosting and IT service providers;
• advertising platforms as described in section 6a;
• professional advisers; and
• authorities where legally required.

We do not sell customer personal data.

We advertise our services through Google Ads, operated by Google. To measure whether our advertising leads people to our services, our website uses the Google tag, which reports to Google when a visitor who arrived through an ad submits a housing request or completes another key action.

This may involve the processing of usage data (such as pages visited and actions taken), device and browser information, and ad-click identifiers by Google, potentially including transfers to the United States.

In regions where consent is legally required (including the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), this measurement only runs with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time through the cookie settings on our website. Where you decline, limited, cookie-free measurement signals may still be sent to Google to meet our reporting obligations, without advertising cookies being set.

Pao Pao is established in the United States and may use service providers located outside the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism where required by applicable data-protection law.

If you choose to communicate with us through WhatsApp, your communication may be processed through the WhatsApp service and its associated infrastructure.

WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms and is an independent service provider.

You are not required to use WhatsApp where an alternative communication channel is offered.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe.

Payment providers may process payment and transaction information according to their own privacy policies and applicable legal obligations.

Pao Pao does not need access to complete payment-card credentials processed directly by the payment provider.

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including contractual, accounting, tax, legal and dispute-resolution purposes.

Different categories of data may therefore be retained for different periods.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
